This century-old house is located in the heart of Glebe - one of the most sought after neighbourhoods in Ottawa. We helped the clients to create a modern kitchen with a Brooklyn brownstone vibe to accommodate a busy family of three. The project involved a full gut renovation. The post-reno kitchen incorporates two-tone cabinets in white and navy blue, classic white subway tiles installed all the way up the wall, and industrial style ceramic pendants above the peninsula. We made a minor layout change by shifting the new gas stove by 90 degrees to allow for extra prep area. To take advantage of the 10' high ceilings and provide extra storage, the upper cabinets were extended to the ceiling. The finished project is light and airy. It reflects the clients' aesthetic and their crave for some colour in their home.
