Since as far back as I can remember, I have always expressed myself creatively. Love for interior design and all things home decor came a bit later, but seemed like a natural extension of my creative youth. What started as a simple experimentation with rearranging furniture and artwork, playing with colours, textures and scale, quickly became a true passion that turned into an exciting and fulfilling work under the name Tatiana Wojtan Studio.

I'm constantly searching for new inspiration to push my designs to the next level. I find inspiration everywhere: fashion, art, architecture, movies, and even window displays.
In my free time, you will likely find me hanging at home with my husband Chris and our two kids, Maia and Marcus.
Growing up in Europe in a home full of antiques and family heirlooms, I learned to appreciate things with soul and patina. And while I love surrounding myself with things of the past, I absolutely love the clean lines of modern design. To me, mixing modern elements with vintage pieces, either in their natural state or reinvented, is what brings in warmth and character to a home. It makes it feel laid back and lived in. My secret sauce to any project is to include at least one unique piece that stands out. I believe that a touch of the unexpected is what makes a space memorable.

Scouring local or not so local flea markets is my favourite hobby. It's an emotional experience to collect items that have a history. And oh, the thrill of finding this one-of-a-kind piece!
Coffee and milk chocolate are my two guilty pleasures....Coffee after 8 pm? Chocolate for breakfast? Yes, please!
No room is complete without fresh cut flowers. They make room come to life. Peonies, ranunculus and baby breaths are my absolute favourite.
I find lush, naturalistic gardens full of mature trees, ground-covers and ferns, magical. All these layers of green lure me in. They are like yoga for my mind.
Ottawa summer is always a long awaited season so I try to savour every bit of it. Nothing beats a warm summer night with a beautiful, starry sky and a glass of chilled wine.
